Getting Started
Welcome to 52conversations!
Thank you for being here.
52conversations cards were designed to help you and your team have the conversations that matter.
The conversations that bring you together and unlock your collective success.
If you’re looking for ways to make the most of your cards, you’ve come to the right place.
Whether you’re a leader, a founder or a team member, these tips will help you use the card in a way that is safe, fun and productive.
Introducing your
52conversations cards
There are 5 themes in your deck. You’ll recognise them by their colour and shape.
What do the colours and shapes mean, and how can you use them?
Starter cards
These cards are designed to help you and your team ease into the conversation. These are designed to be less personal and require less vulnerability. These cards are great for warm-ups and getting started.
Understanding ourselves
These cards are designed to help us uncover important things about ourselves for others to understand. These cards are great for new teams or when new people join your team.
Working together
These cards are designed to unlock how we make decisions, approach conflict and manage our time and energy. These cards are great when teams have some simmering tension under the surface.
Our priorities
These cards are designed to help us stay focused on our most important priorities and communicate when things are headed off track. These cards are great when teams have a little more experience working together.
Partnering with others
These cards are designed to help us collaborate outside of our team. These cards are great for working on cross-functional projects and with external partners.
Sharing our success
These cards are designed to help us openly recognise our progress and acknowledge each other. These cards are great for setting expectation for a new project.
Before you jump into the deck, don’t forget…
Safety first - no matter how you’re using the cards, members of your team can discard and replace a card if they feel unsafe.
There’s no wrong answer - this is an opportunity to encourage transparency and vulnerability, not about pressuring people to give the ‘right answer’.
Curiosity is the key - seek to understand rather than judge - and watch your team do the same!
